Bay Area Holiday Gift Guide

Tis the season to start hunting for that perfect gift from a local business! Here are some of my top picks from the Bay Area.

Surprise your loved one with flowers all year long! The “no-waste” flower subscription allows you to choose quarterly or monthly flower deliveries. When there are extra flowers in my studio that haven't been purchased by someone else, I'll make a beautiful, unique, and fresh bouquet for your loved one and surprise them with it! When you order, I'll mail you a certificate to give to your loved one, telling them that they should expect fresh flower deliveries all year long.

If your loved one is a coffee fanatic, they will love the freshness of Krick Coffee, which is located in Mokelumne Hill. When you place an order, it’s shipped to you on the same day that it’s roasted. They roast in small batches, so quality is never compromised. They’re offering holiday gift sets of their various roasts.

This winery located in Napa Valley offers a wide range of delicious wines that anyone would be lucky to receive.

Beaded jewelry inspired by nature and the designer’s Cherokee heritage. She's located in Marin County and her work is truly inspiring.

This gift shop has 2 locations. One in San Anselmo and one in Novato. They have a wide selection of gifts including: wall art, candles, jewelry, books, games and stuffed animals.

Bags and accessories for confident, bold, and daring women. This Black woman owned business is putting out some gorgeous, colorful stuff. You can also purchase a gift card if you don’t know exactly what piece to buy.

This Oakland-based candle company works with natural ingredients with no additives, dyes, or preservatives. But my favorite part about them is the witty names of their scents. One scent is called “Adulting” and it smells like “early nights, steady paychecks, fig, and cashmere.” And another is called “Comfort Zone,” and it smells like “The joy of missing out, coffee, and cedarwood.” These candles are a great way to give a well made, local gift, while making the recipient smile.

This online shop is run by two women in Burlingame. Have a eco-friendly person in your life? This shop offers eco-friendly and reusable kitchen supplies and bath and body supplies. For example, they have bees wax wraps to replace saran wrap, beautiful dish towels, and bamboo toothbrush holders.

If you have a beer-lover in your life, perhaps they’d appreciate they opportunity to learn how to brew their own beer. This San Francisco-based company offers classes to teach just that! You can buy your loved one a class or a gift certificate for a class for them to book themselves. During these times, they’ve brought their class sizes down from 12 to 4 to allow for social distancing.
